John Kalench

John Kalench was a very special man. The following are excerpts from our last interview prior to his death in May, 2000 taken from pages 99-101 of my book The New Entrepreneurs: Making a Living–Making a Life Through Network Marketing:

"The first night that I was presented the concept of network marketing, I fell in love with it and have been in love with it ever since. The thing I connected with was that, for the first time in my life, I was taught a method of doing business that made complete and unconditional sense to me. My success was totally dependent upon how many people I helped become successful."

"Right from the beginning, I recognized network marketing as an opportunity for anyone to discover what is inherently possible. This industry has the ability to bring out the best or the worst in people. If distributors make the decision to submerge themselves in the process, seeing the industry as an opportunity to get in touch with the good within them, and focus their attention on what they can contribute to the lives they touch, it is inevitable that they will prosper, and prosper tremendously."

"There is almost a spiritual quality to network marketing. Contrary to popular belief, ours is not a transactional business, it's a transformational one. For those who are ready and willing, network marketing will help you transform your life and countless lives of others–forever!"

"I am convinced," he says, "that I manifested that pancreatic cancer because I needed a signal to tell me that it was okay to put myself and my family first. Having gone through the health issue, I knew the time was right and the networking world would understand."

Career Highlights

John founded Millionaires in Motion, Inc., in 1987 to provide education and training to all network companies. Based in his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri, the company has grown to become one of the premier training companies in the network marketing industry.

John is a product of his own teaching over these many years through Millionaires in Motion and is living proof of its effectiveness. He became the fastest distributor in North America to achieve Diamond status with his company. And of all the people he personally sponsored, he had known only two previously, one of whom was his sister. Exemplifying the highest integrity, he did not feel the need to assemble his group through his industry contacts.

John also wrote several acclaimed books. Being the Best You Can Be in MLM is recognized as a step-by-step guide to building the business.
